Lorac Eyeshadow Reviews

I am so in love with LORAC shadow. I will admit that in the pan a lot of the colors don't look that special or distinctive. They don't really grab you the way some shadows do (like MAC or Urban Decay). However, once applied they are soooo beautiful. I like that I can wear a pink shadow from this collection and it doesn't look bright pink or loud on my eyes. They are totally appropriate for work or the day time and you can layer them on more heavily or with a wet brush to play them up for night time. I also that they have some shimmer but are not obnoxiously sparkly like some shadows are. The texture is unlike any eye shadow I've tried...so smooth and velvety. They don't crease on me at all, even without a primer and they are very long lasting. They blend unlike any other shadow I've ever seen. I do think that 18$ is a little steep to pay for almost any eyeshadow and that was what was stopping me until I discovered that if you buy them directly from the websi

Freelance Makeup Artist

If you are creating your own cosmetics, there may a legal issue of ensuring that they are safe for human use. I don't know all the intracacies of it, but I know it can be a real chore. If, however, you are representing established lines of cosmetics, then very little legal work will be required. Mostly you will need to decide if your business should be a sole proprietorship or one of the various corporate entities. You may need to file a 'dba' (Doing Business As) at your county courthouse. A chat with an experienced bookkeeper can go a long way in the beginning planning. As I write this, I am pondering the issue of a 'cosmetology license'. I believe I have heard of such a license, but I am not certain how widespread its use is, or which states have such a requirment. Christine's link will help you out of this I am sure. Good luck on your new business: making the world more beautiful!

No More Itchy, Flaky Skin!

Moist Skin When the weather outside is frightful, the frigid air has very low levels of water content. That's what dries out your skin. Ironically though, the fire inside only seems delightful. Your crackling Yule log combined with normal indoor heating will further deplete your thirsty epidermis of the fluids it needs to stay soft and supple. Add to all of that the fact that aging skin is thinner, less elastic, and more prone to moisture loss than it once was, and you can see that you need an action plan to ensure that you don't end up looking scaly - or worse, getting cracks that could lead to infections. 7-beautiful uses for Vaseline Okay, do me a favor and run in your bathroom and tell me if you have a tub of Vaseline on hand. Oh, you do? Yeah, I thought you might. Now do me a favor and tell me what you use it for. Like, everything? Hey, me too! I was just running through a list in my head of all of the surprising things Vaseline can accomplish in a pinch. But have you ever tried to use Vaseline as a supplement to your make up and beauty routine? 10 Ways to Wake Up Beautiful

1. Get an Early Start Make a habit of washing your face a few hours before bed. If you wait until you're tired, you're more likely to blow it off -- allowing "toxins and dirt to stay on there all night," says dermatologist Laurie Polis of N.Y.C. Another consequence? You miss the best time to treat your skin. "At night there's more blood flow to the skin's surface, and there's nothing else on your face to interfere with absorption," Polis says. Try: Neutrogena Deep Clean Relaxing nightly cleanser, $7; at drugstores. 2. Sleep on Your Back Note to Audrey Hepburn fans: Lying on your stomach is bad for "beauty sleep." The average head weighs 7 to 8 pounds -- a lot of pressure to be putting on your face every night. In fact, many dermatologists say they can tell what side of the face people sleep on by the number of wrinkles there. 3. Get a Lift Sleep with your head elevated on two pillows, or put the headrest area of your bed
