Burt’s Bee’s Sensitive Night Cream

Burt’s Bee’s Sensitive Night Cream Review
Skin care is something super important if you want to A. Have great skin and B. Have great makeup; so it makes sense to use a product which benefits the skin. After all, every one want’s to look great with and without the help of makeup.
Burt’s Bee’s claims that there sensitive night cream provides moisture to the skin for 8 hours without causing redness or irritation. Does it do that? Well sort of…
When I use a moisturiser or more specifically a night cream I like to use something that absorbs into the skin almost instantly so I don’t have to worry about product transferring onto pillows, clothing, etc and that’s one thing that I truly love about this product. It provides moisture almost instantly and absorbs into the skin as quick as you can say night cream. It doesn’t leave any residue and unlike other moisturisers I’ve tried it doesn’t spread unevenly.
The scent of this is lovely and subtle, too often I’ve tried a moisturiser only to find that it’s so over powering that it causes me to get up and remove the product with a facial wipe because it’s to distracting to sleep with. This product however is subtle, nice on the nose and isn’t to OTT like the fragrance section of a department store.
The cream itself is a very light liquid, it’s a much thinner consistency then I would generally expect for a night cream. As this product is packaged in a jar (why do companies insist on packaging there facial creams in a jar, so unhygienic) this becomes an issue because this product does have such a thin formula it’s prone to spilling so sometimes when you open the product even if you do it cautiously if you accidentally tilt the product even the slightest wrong way; Product. Every Where. This product would really benefit from being packaged in a pump; in my opinion its too much of a thin consistency to be packaged in a jar.
Did this product cause redness? No. Did it dry out my skin? No. Did it make my skin feel itchy? No. Did it break me out? Yes. It’s a rare occasion that a product breaks me out, in fact it’s so rare I can’t even remember the last time that I did break out from a product. Since I have dry skin it comes as quite a shock to me, especially since most other aspects of the product were quite great, it hydrated my skin, didn’t make me red, didn’t make my skin itchy and absorbed very well and instantly. I feel maybe this product is better off suited to those who have severely, severely dry skin that has Psoriasis or Severe Eczema/Dermatitis.
