Wrinkles Around Eyes

The area around the eyes is particularly thin, making it sensitive and prone to wrinkles. As we age, these wrinkles become even more noticeable and deep. But, don't worry! There are various methods you can use to get rid of eye wrinkles. Read more to find out how.

Instructions

    • 1
Protect your eyes from the sun. Because exposure to the sun's rays can cuase wrinkles and skin damage, it is important to wear a 30 SPF(or higher) sunscreen everyday. Be sure to apply the sunscreen to the area around the eyes.
    • 2
Wear sunglasses that protect against both UVB and UVA rays. This will not only protect your skin from the sun's damaging rays, but also guard against eye strain.
    • 3
Apply an eye cream  nightly. Choose an eye cream that specifically treats and targets wrinkles. Gently apply the cream using your ring finger.
    • 4
Rest. It's imperative that you get adequate sleep every night. Poor sleep  habits can lead to premature wrinkling, particularly around the eye area.
    • 5
Discuss Botox treatment with your doctor. Botox is injected into the skin to temporarily paralyze the muscles underneath. As a result, the skin appears firmer and less wrinkled. You will need to get injections every three to six months to maintain the results.
    • 6
Consider a laser resurfacing treatment. Intense laser light is applied to the top layer of the skin to reveal younger, fresher skin below. Laser resurfacing treatments are very specific, only targeting the areas you wish to treat.
    • 7
Talk to your doctor about eyelid surgery or an eyebrow lift. Both procedures involve major surgery, but are proven to produce dramatic results. As cosmetic surgery is both painful, risky and expensive, it should be used as a last resort. Only consider after acceptable results have not been achieved with other treatment methods. Ask your doctor to recommend the appropriate treatment for the condition of your skin.

I think I'll discuss the botox London treatment with my doctor. So, to maintain the results, botox injections are needed every three to six months? That's OK for me! I hope everything will work well! :)
